Sort of fancy pants.....

The weekend has flown by again, and Sydney had the most wonderful Spring-like weather: temperatures of 24 degrees C and clear sunny skies.
I picked up my new jeans, which I think are almost fancy enough for Tiffany Rose and Wendy.
Or maybe not....
They're a dark-ish red with a lighter red pattern through them, by a French label called 'Leon & Harper'
I wore them out to dinner on Saturday night with a blue J Crew Tippi and my new Mulberry pumps.

close-up of the fabric in case you don't believe that it's fancy!

Because I'm unable to walk any distance in heels, I wore my runners to walk the 3km to the bus!
And a bright yellow coat....

There's a whole heap of new graffiti in our 'hood. I particularly like this bit:

On Sunday, we went down to Bronte Beach (beach in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, about 20 mins from our house).
The weather was fab, but the water was freezing!
I didn't swim. I don't take off my clothes until the temp goes over 27 degrees C.
My intrepid daughter swam, though!

There's a beautiful walk along the coast in Sydney. You can walk about 12 km past some of Sydney's most well-known beaches: Maroubra, Coogee, Clovelly, Bronte, Tamarama and Bondi

This is Waverley Cemetery, a beautiful graveyard on the coast near Bronte.

Bush flowers... I'm a bit rubbish with names, sorry!

Did you have a good weekend?
Any debauchery or walking?

  2. Love the walk - why is it that the dead often get the best real estate??? Love your outfit too - the red pants with blue combo is fab. Even if it was a little warm, I can't believe there is a woman sunbathing in a bikini... must be a tourist, surely??! x

    1. You're so right about the best real estate! That land would be worth millions if it were able to be developed. So glad it can't be touched... There are enough awful mansions in that part of Sydney already. Terrible, ostentatious piles. Such a shame!
There were heaps of locals out in their swimmers, so not a tourist! I was shocked at how many people were stripping off! It was quite warm, I suppose.

  3. Love your fancy pants and love how you're wearing with bright blue and yellow even more! That may be my favorite graffiti I've ever seen. I'm definitely with you on what temp the water has to be before I'll go swimming. Well, maybe I'd go if it's 26C.

The scenes from the coast are stunning, thanks for showing us. No debauchery for me this weekend, but some walking when I played 9 holes of golf with husby. :)

    1. Yay! I'm so glad you approve! You and Wendy were in my mind as I was trying them on in the shop. I love them with the blue and yellow. Thank god I live in a place where loud colours are acceptable!
Golf sounds a great way to spend a day!

    1. Ta, Cilla! They are a little teenage, but hopefully not too much so!

    2. No they are not teenage at all - very tasteful. Was saying you have a nice svelte form!

Saw on Naomi's blog that you have gut issues - have you had a hydrogen breath test for fructose malabsorption or lactose intolerance? Assume you have been tested for coeliac disease.

Also try a low FODMAP diet.

Google Sue Shepherd Dietitian, she has loads of good stuff.
I have been to gwinganna. Would like to go again.

    3. Aha! Either way I was flattered, so don't worry!
Thanks for that info. I've never had a hydrogen breath test, but have had a colonoscopy and endoscopy. I think the endoscopy ruled out coeliac disease.
I'll bully my GP for the breath test, and will google Sue Shepherd.
I'm seriously so tired of the constant attacks and the associated pain. Not to mention the debilitating effects of it....

  5. Goodness me, what I would do to be in your hometown right now - so lucky, it lucks stunning and perfect for family!

I love that you are mixing up the colours with the jeans and heels, and not just playing it safe with a dark pair of jeans because of the shoe colour - go girl!

    1. Hey Colleen, it's not my hometown (that's London!) but I'm glad it's my adopted home!

Thanks for the compliment. I love wearing lots of colour!

  6. You look smashing - fancy indeed! I love the colours together - that is the perfect spring outfit!

Your pictures are lovely! I do love a good cemetery and one overlooking the sea - well good for those dead people!

We've been walking 5.5K every other day together. It isn't moving the scales (I am going to have to eat less for that to happen!) but I do feel good!

    1. Thanks WMM!!
That's so good that you're walking regularly. My daily walk keeps me sane.. if I don't walk to work in the morning it makes me grumpy for the whole day.

I'd give it some time with seeing any movement on the scales. Or, better still, throw out the scales and see how your clothes fit in 6 month's time. I have never had scales in my house. I think they are evil.

    1. My aversion to cold water stems from years of having to swim in 15 degree water while at school. That, and miserable days at the great British seaside!
I refuse to get cold these days - there's just no reason at all to suffer in one's middle years!

  8. No debauchery, little walking, some shopping, meeting friends, eating - a good weekend.

Surely you were British born, gal - get in the water!

    1. Haha! that's exactly why I don't get in the water! traumatised from an early age by the frigid temps of English water!

  10. I love the color combination, and you look fantastic. Fancy pants are a territory that this gal has not yet ventured into, but between WMM, TR and yourself, I'm slowly giving in!
