Leopard cardigan

Another weekend draws to a close. This one was crazy, weather-wise. 30 degrees C on Saturday and down to about 13 degrees C on Sunday. Brrr.
However, the drop in temperature allowed me to wear my new leopard print cardigan, which I bought from the lovely Ina, from the blog Ina in Wonderland.
It's a J Crew Tippi cardigan, so made of lovely soft merino wool. I had thought it wouldn't get much of an airing until next April or so, it being almost summer here, but thanks to the mad weather, it seems that I may get a bit more wear out of it this year.

J Crew cardigan, Nudie jeans, Isabel Marant boots, Gorman coat, Mulberry bag and crazy hair.

We spent the weekend in full socialising mode. The silly season is well under way. On Friday we had a friend over for dinner, then hosted a dinner party on Saturday too. It's pretty hard to stick to my low FODMAP diet at times like this, so I cheated all weekend. I wonder if I'll pay the price this week.....

I'm not wearing all my leopard print together (that will have to wait) but I did pile on a bit here.
I don't think I'll be able to wear the belt and cardigan - just too much, but I reckon the shoes with the cardigan OR the belt work quite well.

I hope you're having a great weekend!

    1. Thanks Tabs, the yellow is a hard colour to wear - I'm not sure it's totally my colour either. Thanks for the leg compliment! In reality my legs are short and stocky, but hey, they work! Obviously J took the pic at a flattering angle!

    2. I agree, a gorgeous combination with that coat. Ruth my dear, the animal print is not mid-life crisis at all, I think you're a late bloomer it is so flattering on you!

    1. Thanks Wendy! I'm quite chuffed that my legs look so good. They are usually the part of me that I try to disguise. I'm not complaining, but I've never been known for my legs!

The IM boots are seriously on their last legs... Bought them in 2008, so they've done well!

  7. And what's the deal with the weather? I'm supposed to be heading to winter while you're sizzling but you're wearing a coat and I can't even imagine a sweater with the high at 26C today and expecting warmer as the week goes on!

  8. I have that Tippi (in fact my only Tippi) and I love it, it is a bit more interesting than the usual leopard print. I think it's a great purchase and definitely works with the shoes (but I agree with you, the belt would be too much).
It looks like you are embracing your wild side Ruth!

  11. You look great Ruth. I have a similar pullover tippi sweater and a gold Boden coat so I may have to attempt to recreate your look. Thanks for the idea!

  13. good looking outfit; I know I could never say "nudie jeans" out loud without having to suppress a giggle. the bag looks great and that size I guess is becoming more popular but don't you have to check it before getting on a plane?

    1. The bag is nice and handy for carrying the kitchen sink ;-)
In reality it's not such a huge bag.... probably just looks it because I'm so diminutive in stature.....

  14. Great cardigan and versatile too. I started with animal print accessories some time ago now, a scarf then shoes but I seem to be moving on to clothes now. It's an easy print to dress up or down.
