Hervé Léger dress arrival!

All's well that ends well on the Hervé Léger dress front. It arrived on Friday complete with fully functioning zip and doesn't disappoint in the slightest. I wore it out to a dinner do on Saturday, and got a few blurry shots taken by J:

It's a dark navy blue, demure enough not to frighten the horses, but certainly not without a hint of waywardness.
I wore it with Chie Mihara sandals and a turquoise Acne clutch (not in these pics). It's hot in Sydney right now, so there was no need for a jacket, although I did take a canary yellow cardigan, just in case. No jewellery. I think the dress looks best with no adornments. If I were going to a more cocktail-y event I would wear pumps and bling, perhaps.

Excuse the undergarment malfunction. It was hidden when we went out!
The evening was good and rather loud! We were all rather dusty the morning after....

So, it's back on the spendthrift bandwagon now.

Did you have a good weekend?
Any scandal?

  3. Wow! That really did turn out well and shoes, unadornment, and hair up all very well executed. You hit this one out of the park.

    1. Haha! It was hot, too. Not so hot this week though. Melbs is less like a furnace too, I think?

  9. It's a slink tastic! Was it hard to get into to?
I think the navy is perfect, just that little bit softer than black.

    1. It wasn't too hard - I can get into it without assistance, which is always a good thing. It's very corset like, so I even managed to eat a large dinner in it without feeling too gargantuan!

    1. I love the navy too. There aren't many styles or colours that I would feel comfortable wearing - some of them are very 'statement'! I think this one and my old black one are probably enough for me!

  15. Love it, the navy blue is genius, I always feel navy is the kinder cousin of black, for me anyway. Love also how it's below knee, a gorgiss length. Thanks for commenting today so I could find your lovely blog. Please also spill the beans on how you are so whippet slim and fit looking.

    1. Navy is a kinder colour. I very much enjoy your blog, thrilled that you've visited mine! I'm always a bit stars truck when real, established bloggers visit and comment!
Regarding my 'fitness' it's all down to walking and yoga.... And being very bad at sitting still!
I really should do a post on yoga etc one day. Must try to do it soon.
